KEYSTONE, the US inspection agency, has recognized our tests on glass doors, windows, and curtain walls

Istituto Giordano, as a laboratory already accredited by ACCREDIA for ISO/IEC 17025, has been recognized by KEYSTONE, the US Certification Body, for environmental (water, air, and wind), burglar resistance, and structural performance tests on glass doors, windows, and curtain walls based on ASTM and AAMA standards.

The only laboratory outside the US and Canada to have obtained such recognition. 

This means that any European company can be certified with Keystone by conducting performance tests at Istituto Giordano’s Italian laboratories, thereby making their product more attractive for the US market.

This recognition is in addition to the one that Istituto Giordano has received from NAMI, the National Accreditation & Management Institute, in New Orleans, LA (USA).

What is KEYSTONE?

KEYSTONE, a certification agency based in Pennsylvania, about 200 km from New York, provides certification and inspection services to the construction industry according to international standards ISO/IEC 17065 and 17020.
It specializes in curtain wall products, including (but not limited to) windows, patio doors, skylights, doors, glass wall systems, insulating glass products, ceiling products, and building panels and components.
With KEYSTONE certification, the manufacturer or supplier can show the US market that it is able to obtain and maintain the conformity of its products and/or services. This is demonstrated by the seal of conformity placed on the product package or on other supports.
The certification and inspection process assures the buyer that the product being bought is the same product that was tested by an independent laboratory and that it meets the quality standards specified in the test report.
