Iso 14001 Certification for Environment

UNI EN ISO 14001

Istituto Giordano is an ACCREDIA-accredited UNI EN ISO 14001 certification body.
ISO 14001 is an international standard applicable to all business types specifying how to develop an effective environmental management system.

UNI EN ISO 14001 certification demonstrates a genuine commitment to minimise the environmental impact of your processes, products and services and confirms the dependability of the applied environmental management system.

ADVANTAGES ASSOCIATED WITH THE CERTIFICATION OBTAINING ARE:

  • 20% reduction of surety guarantee accompanying the offer in public contracts relating to works, services, or supplies ( article 93 of the new Procurement Code, Dlgs. 50/2016)-  cumulative with the 50 % reduction granted to companies in possession of ISO 9001 quality certification;
  • Presumption of compliance: ISO 14001 certification is considered an evaluation criterion of the offer economically more convenient for the award of the contract.
  • Concessions for the exploitation of quarries and mines: some Italian Regions consider the Certification ISO 14001 as a prerequisite.
Moreover, further advantages are envisaged for waste treatment plants and landfills certified according to ISO 14001:
  • 40% of discount on sureties;
  • Increase in the duration of integrated environmental authorizations from 5 to 6 years;
  • Renewal of the authorization in self-declaration (without provision of the prospectus).
