Offering a wealth of professional competence and skills, instruments and equipment, Istituto Giordano has decades of experience in the
field of research and technical innovation, assisting both
domestic and
European businesses.
In accordance with Ministerial Decree dated 9/10/1985, Istituto Giordano is listed in the register of laboratories authorised by the
former Ministry of the University, Scientific Research and Technology (now Ministry of Education, the University and Scientific Research)
to carry out applied research on behalf of small and medium-sized businesses pursuant to section 4 of Act No. 46 dated 17/2/1982.
In recent years, Istituto Giordano has also carried out two of its own applied research projects in the innovative glazing sector dealing with
“Glass fire barriers” and “Electrochromic devices”. In addition, the recent growing interest in environmental matters regarding
reclamation of contaminated land or special waste recycling has led to the Institute’s involvement in the development of innovative
electrochemical technology for the decontamination of industrial waste (Electrokinetic Remediation, Electrokinetics, Electrochemical
Stabilization), MSW incinerator residues, flue-gas scrubber ash and soil-washing sludge.
Finally, Istituto Giordano is actively involved in the field of European research and has taken part in various projects as a “partner/R&D
performer”.
